As someone who has struggled managing their time for decades, I have tried various tools out there that help you better manage your time. But even if we had a short list of items, many of us find it hard to prioritize things. Many of us simply get overwhelmed knowing everything we have to do, and while we want freedom to do what we want, we would also sometimes rather just someone tell us what to do right now.
And even if we had time to organize our calendars, how many times are we going to keep making changes when somebody gets sick and cannot take that meeting, or a friend invites us to an event that we really, really want to go to but that means rescheduling everything else that we have planned? Are we going to sit down and plan the whole week again because one day got derailed by changed plans? That one day that then derailed the whole week? Not all of us can afford a personal secretary to look after our calendars.
Sure, we could send people meeting links, but wait… or should they send us their meeting links? Do I need now need to create meeting links for everyone and everything? That ought to annoy my friends at some point.
